As a very first post, its purpose is to give both context and information about what I currently intend to do with the blog. I started modular in February of 2022 when I got a Moog mother-32 and a DFAM, but quickly made my own circuits. I spent the entire summer coming up with a system of my own, a mixture of DIY, self-made, and pre-assembled modules. The satisfaction of creating//discovering soundscapes using these devices was huge, hence the obvious will to pursue it. I spent from September of 2022 until now (Jun. 2023) learning how to turn DIY circuits into products, with the hope I could share my ideas with fellow sound-enjoyers. I had greatly instructive conversations with people from Thonk (awesome synth parts and DIY kits shop) and very interesting people from the modular world on what was expected of a module to be shared as product. Thonk put my only currently available module on their website as a DIY kit back in March of 2023. This was a big step for me, but one I took too early. As all my other modules were still prototypes, I had nothing else to put out, so I decided to spend this summer to fully develop modules and share them at once. This website is a consequence of my will to pursue things more seriously, but this blog is there more as a reference for potential people wanting to learn more about what I do. My set-up currently looks like the image above, and it will evolve. So these posts will both keep a log of the various states my set-up went through, but also write down some workings and updates on current prototypes, all while sharing pictures. I am not a brand, which puts me in a unique position when I act like one to get my designs and devices shared. Anyways, now that I gave enough context here are my aims: • uploading a post when I finish a product, going over the design process.
• giving updates on releases, videos, and maybe promotion // self-promotion. • doing all of it with pictures of my set-up, prototypes, etc. Comments are closed.
